"I just had premarital with a reverend's daughter in his own bed!"
"Dude, you are the worst Puritan ever."
– John Adams and Richard Cranch, The First American Sitcom, "Hello, Miss Adorable" (S1 E3)
A Deadly Game of Chess: Quote

John and Abigail Adams: one of the most famous political couples in American History. In this fourth-wall defying parody of the popular biopic genre, follow the unstoppable couple as their antics take them from Massachusetts to Philadelphia, France, England, New York, and, eventually, Washington DC. Split between the political intrigues of the time and daily family struggles, enjoy as these *ahem* adults stumble their way into greatness.

Conceived in 2016 and inspired by First Family: Abigail and John Adams by Prof. Joseph J. Ellis, this well-researched biopic has expanded to include research from more than twelve biographies on the couple and countless database and encyclopedia, and primary sources in an effort to maintain peak authenticity. The show blends a light tone with the harsher drama to come as the American Revolution and political in-fighting begins. Relentless in its mockery of early American politics, it pokes fun at both the state of affairs of the time and American idolization of the flawed men behind it--including modern depictions of the Founding Fathers' stories such as 1776, Hamilton: an American Musical, and HBO's miniseries John Adams.

The show is planned to run four seasons, each 14 episodes (with a half-season finale after each episode 7) in a serial format. The first seven episodes have been written, with plans to finish should the story see enough popularity to be produced. An animatic of the pilot is currently in the works.
